Today I want to give you the second area of expertise you must master to reach the highest levels in our profession.
Our profession is all about dealing with people and if your people skills are not on point, it will cost you a fortune.
Especially considering the fact that we are building a volunteer army.
It’s your people skills that will lead to increased enrollments, activity and retention.
Similarly, it’s also your lack of communication skills in network marketing that will lead to lower enrollments, less activity, and attrition.
Strangely enough, this is the one category that is the biggest blind spot for most network marketers.

This is arguably the best book ever written on making yourself more likable. I’ve read this multiple times and would recommend you do the same!
#2.) Living in Full Color by Marc Accetta

This is not a book, but a DVD program that comes with a workbook. In this program, Marc Accetta breaks down the 4 personality types based on the colors. I learned the colors early in my career and when I applied it, it was like magic. To be a pro, you definitely want to understand the personality types and how to use them to motivate and sell.
#3.) How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People by Les Giblin

If you’ve ever struggled with a lack of confidence in your communication ability, this book is a must-read. I read this when I was 18 years old but by the pool when I was working as a lifeguard.
At the time, I felt like I was a lousy communicator and many of the specific strategies I learned from this book are strategies I still use today.
#4.) Skill with People by Les Giblin

Goblin is so good that he gest 2 spaces on this list. This book, originally written in 1968, has sold over 2 million copies and has been translated into 20 different languages. This book is simple, to the point and a very quick read. In fact, it’s worth reading several times.
#5.) Bringing Out the Best in People by Aubrey Daniels

This book is specifically about how to use positive reinforcement to bring out the best in people.
Imagine knowing how to communicate with every new recruit, your kids or coworkers to bring out the absolute best in them.
LOVE this book.
Read these 5 books (well, 4 and a DVD program) and you’ll be well on your way to being one of the best communicators out there. I can’t stress enough how important this is to your success.
