  • Facebook Ads Is Too Hard – How To Make Facebook Ads Simple!

Facebook Ads Is Too Hard – How To Make Facebook Ads Simple!

There are two things that make Facebook ads easy. It’s doing the upfront work and following the steps to launch your ads. The reason being is because so much has changed with Facebook ads and the algorithm.

Most approach ads with the mindset of “I need to get my ads right”. Instead, the best approach is to test and test and test some more, until “I get traction with my ads”. In most cases, it could take three days or could take three months.

Often times, when challenges show up most, they will give up and say, the ads don’t work. It’s the people who are willing to test and test some more. Those are the ones who are going to win.

The key is having the right mindset around testing. When you realize that when you are using ads to grow your business, you’re playing the long game.

Don’t forget that this is a journey. You will always be learning and testing. The testing mindset is your foundation.

You may walk into some ads that are working for you and the same for some audiences that work. You’re going to have to keep tweaking along the way.

There will be a point where they’re not going to work as well as they once were. That is okay! It doesn’t mean that you’re doing anything wrong. It’s the nature of the platform that we’re on, and have to evolve and grow as they make adjustments.

The number one mistake that I see people do is to put pressure on themselves to make Facebook ads to work for them. This is the short-term play mindset. Which leads to failure.

The proper mindset to get the most out of your campaigns

When you are clear on your end goal, you work backward from that goal. Take a closer look at the customer journey. Taking someone who doesn’t know who we are, all the way through to becoming a paying customer.

    • Why are you running ads in the first place?
    • What’s your goal?
    • What are you trying to achieve with your ads?
    • What is your strategy to get there?
    • What are the steps that will get them to become a customer?
    • What has to happen, to build that know, like and trust factor with you, so that they will buy?

Once you have defined what your end goal is. You want the ideal avatar to do something that they can consume quickly and that will give them a quick win. Something that they can use to see some type of progress. In a matter of 15-20 minutes’ tops.

    Foundational questions to ask:

    • What is your offer?
    • What is your lead magnet that you can make that offer in your Facebook ads, send people to your opt-in page?
    • If you’re building your list, what is that offer that can attract your ideal audience and give them a quick win?
    • What pain points are you solving?

You can attract your ideal audience by doing a quick video training. Something no longer than 8-10 minutes long. The key is to help them get a quick win. This way it’s helpful and it’s an added value. It’s the exact opposite of a big pitch fest.

Understand your target audience, and sub-audiences – how to speak their language

Most people make the mistake of thinking they have one target audience. When you have your target customer, you’re going to have sub audiences. The sub-audiences may be at different points along your customer journey. You need to have different conversations within your target and sub-audience.

Here are some ways to find your sub-audience:

    • What TV shows they watch?
    • Where do they shop?
    • What are their hobbies?

From there, use Audience Insights within the Facebook ads manager. This is what separates campaigns that are set up for success and ones that aren’t. The upfront work is what you should focus on first.

How much should you budget for campaigns?

The important thing here to remember is that there is no one way to go about this. Choose conversions as your objective. Facebook’s algorithm wants to see about 50 conversions per week, per ad set. About seven conversions per day to feed the algorithm. Over 50 conversions, over a seven-day period, roughly seven conversions a day. If you are estimating $ 5 cost per lead, that would mean that my budget for that ad set should probably be about $ 35 a day.

You do not have to follow this when setting your budget, you can start out lower. You can start off at $ 10 a day. It is important to know what goes into all this and what the algorithm wants to see. If you do not want to spend $ 35 a day, because of your budget. Start somewhere between $ 20 dollars per day range per ad set. Within the budget, set the start and end dates, if applicable.

Try to start the ads as early in the morning as possible. This way you can give them the full day in Facebook’s algorithm. Something you’ll want to keep in mind is that you want to try to get that ad set the potential audience size per ad set. Look for at least a million people in that ads set. If you need to get it to 3-4 million by grouping other interest into that one ad set, go for it.

Make sure that your interests are similar to one another. So, if you are targeting yoga pants, also go after Lorna Jane, Lululemon, Gaea, or any other yoga brand. They all have to be similar and group that into one ad set.

Let Facebook’s algorithm do the work for you. It’s very smart. The simpler you can keep the campaign setup, the better. We’re going to leverage Facebook’s algorithm to do the heavy lifting for us.

How many ad sets should you have?

It depends on a few things. If you have a small budget, $ 50 a day. Have at least two to three ad sets within your campaign. For larger budgets have anywhere between three, to five ad sets. Keep things simple. Simplicity is the key to your campaigns so that you can take advantage of the algorithm.

On the ad set level, I recommend choosing all placement. Optimizing for conversions. When you optimize for conversions, I recommend, send people from your ad to a simple opt-in page. Optimizing for the one-day click conversion window.

If you’re focusing on purchases, you can get into the seven-day. The conversion window is to think about how long it should take them to make a decision. If it’s a simple cheat sheet or a video for them to watch, it shouldn’t take them more than four days to make a decision. That’s why I recommend choosing the one-day click conversion window.

What if you are not a good copywriter?

This is the third and final level, which is the ads level. Here is a trick to becoming a better copywriter and that if you don’t know how to write good copy. Use the language that your ideal customers use. If you have customers right now, talk to them.

Use the language that they are using. Talk to them about their pain points. Talk to them about what they are looking for in life

If you don’t have any customers, find Facebook groups where your ideal customers are hanging out. Read Amazon reviews of books and products that are relevant to your target audience. Use the language that they are using. Share stories in your copy, focus on the benefits, and how you can help your target audience.

Your secret sauce comes out in how you can solve the pain points that your target audience has. Remember, to be speaking to each avatar, if applicable, within your overall target audience, remember going back into the sub audiences, because those are very likely different conversations, depending on where people are in your overall customer journey.

Should you do images or videos?

    Test both! 😊

If you’re going to do an image, make sure that you capture attention and make sure it aligns with your copy and your offer. We’re not talking about random cat memes that are going to capture your audience’s attention, it has nothing to do with anything you do in your business. Now, if you’re in the cat business, that’s one thing. But use an image that aligns with your copy and your offer, while also capturing attention.

If you’re going to do a video, don’t overthink it, grab your smartphone, make it short. Make it a minute or less grabbing attention, speaking to your target audience and give the call to action.

As far as testing goes, do not test too many variables too quickly, if you’re on a small budget. I love that you want to test, but not overcomplicate things. If you’re starting out with a budget of like $ 30 a day, I would do two, maybe three variations of copy, and the same for images or video. Since we’re using all placements, we chose all placements at the ad set level, if you’re just starting out with that, and you’ve got a small budget, I would simply use the same creative that you are going to be testing out across all of the placements. Just make sure to look at the different previews of each ad placement, to make sure that everything looks okay.

What’s next after you submit your ads?

Wait for Facebook’s approval. Once it goes live, leave it alone for the first three to five days. Let your ads marinate in Facebook’s algorithm for at least three to five days. Then you go back and start to optimize.

    My Final Thoughts

If you are brand new to Facebook ads and want to learn. You must have the following if you want to succeed:

    • A support team and system that will help build your business.
    • A mentor that will take you by the hand and help you reach your dreams and goals.
    • A constant flow of new leads and prospects that want to join your business.

It is not easy to be successful in an online business and which is why more than 95% fail.

I would suggest that you check out my number #1 recommended program for making money online and learning Facebook ads.

This program is the reason why so many people are having success with a ‘work from home business’.

I would love to hear from you if you have or haven’t used Facebook ads to build your business.

  • How To Be A Great Mentor In Network Marketing

How To Be A Great Mentor In Network Marketing

How To Be A Great Mentor In Network Marketing

The common misconception is that becoming a great mentor in network marketing means
teaching the best tactics, strategies, and “how-tos”. That couldn’t be the further from the truth.

I struggled to become a great mentor in network marketing for a long time.

I would have people in my organization come to me and say, “Man! I’ve talked to so many people and still haven’t had any results!”

My response would be to focus on tactics…

What are you saying to invite people? Who are you talking to? How are you presenting? How are you setting up the presentation? What do yous ay at the end of the presentation? How do you close?”

I would spend all my conversations talking about tactics and strategies only for that individual to go out…

    Try it…

…and come back to me claiming that they failed again.

They were frustrated that it seemed like NOTHING would work and I was frustrated because I didn’t know how to help them.

I felt like a lousy mentor.

    Here’s what I eventually realized…

The key to becoming a great mentor in network marketing: It’s NOT about the “How-To”

    It’s more about the person.

Most of the time it is a way they communicate with themselves, their belief systems, the language they use, etc.

If you gave me a TERRIBLE script, I could still have success with it.

    Some leaders…

I could give them the BEST script in the world and they would still suck it up!

    Why?

Most of the time it doesn’t have anything to do with tactics but has everything to do with your inner game.

When someone is having challenges on the outside, it’s usually because they are having challenge on the inside.

So, when someone came to me…

Rather than only giving “how-to” information, I do something that’s REALLY ADVANCED.

    Ready to hear it?

    I have them…

    READ A BOOK!

    WHOAH!

It sounds almost too simple, right?

Become a great mentor in network marketing by leveraging other people’s expertise!

By simply having them read a book…

    It will change them.

If I know somebody comes to me with a victim mentality…

I’ll have them read, Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind.

If someone comes to me with belief systems…

I’ll have them read, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

If someone has a lot of negative self-talk…

I’ll have them read, What To Say When You Talk To Yourself.

They receive a book to read…

I instruct them to take notes then call me so we can discuss it!

Instead of addressing their “external issues” we are diving deeper into their internal game.

So, Number 1: Be well-read yourself so you can make these recommendations.

Number 2: When someone comes to you with challenges, work on building them from the inside out and watch what starts to happen.

  • How To Live Your Best Life – 15 Simple Truths That Will Set You Free

How To Live Your Best Life – 15 Simple Truths That Will Set You Free

Someone once told me the definition of hell; on your last day on earth, the person you could have become will meet the person you became.

Here are a few questions that you may need to ask yourself.

    • Do you live the way you want to live?
    • Are you honestly where you want to be?
    • Do you act from your ego or from your heart?
    • Are you using your full potential?
    • Do you live your dreams?

If you are ready to live your life and set yourself free. The following steps will help guide you there. Put this knowledge to work and actively work to set yourself free.

    1) People come in and out of your life

As I grew older and moved out of my parent’s house. I started to realize that my inner circle of friends started to become smaller. One day you’re close with someone, the next day they are no longer in your life. I’ve learned to accept that this is life. I’ve accepted it and moved on.

    2) Keep the people you care about close to your heart

Good, genuine people are hard to come by these days. These are the people who stick by your side through your hard times. Those are the same people who go through the good times as well. Those who decide to leave and not walk with you through your bullshit, let them. Protect your emotions. There is no need to dwell on the nonsense.

    3) The grass is greener where you water it

You will look at your friends, colleagues and close friends’ achievement with envy. They’ve got those achievements you don’t have, their life looks perfect. Or is it? Everyone has their own challenges no matter how perfect it appears to be. Never assume. Focus on your patch of grass. Water it well, and it will grow longer and greener as days pass. Nothing comes easy, you have to work for your success. Remember, this is a long-term play

    4) You can’t please everyone

Never change because you want to please someone. Never. You cannot. Do things that allow you to be you. Go 110% with what you believe in. Go all out. Don’t talk about it, be about it. You do you, and if there are people who hate whatever you’re doing, let them. Don’t change yourself to please them. There will always be something for people to talk about. Focus on you and the people who matter to you. You do this, and your life will be easier.

    5) Build meaningful relationships with people who have the same ambitions as you

If you want to be a successful online marketer. Hang out with the people who are making more money than you. Give them value and in return, they will give you value. So many times I see beginners in this space that try to please who inspires them. They are normal people like you. Treat them like one.

    6) Build influence with new connections

Get out, get to know people. If you are an introvert and hate interacting with people. Do it anyway. We all need to start somewhere. Do volunteer work, internships, and part-time jobs. Even if it means you’re doing the unpleasant tasks. Know names, connect with them on social media. Put your name out there and make sure you make an impression. Why? Because when you go out there and do the work. People will take notice. It’s easier to get to where you want to go when people already know who you are. So do yourself a favor.

    7) No one cares

A bit harsh? You bet! Stop complaining and moaning about how much your life sucks. This may come off as cliche. But no one cares. So if your life sucks that much, do something to change it. Make a conscious decision to change. If you do the same thing over and over, nothing will ever change. When you do go after the change, be ready for the consequences that come with it. At the end of the day, you’re responsible for yourself, and no one else.

    8) No one owes you anything

You are responsible for yourself. Your parents don’t owe you anything, your bosses don’t owe you anything, and your peers don’t owe you anything. Do you want something bad enough? You work hard and earn it. Don’t expect anyone to do anything for you. If they do, it’s a privilege, not an entitlement.

    9) Physical appearance isn’t everything

It’s how you carry yourself. I’d rather someone be my friend for my personality and knowledge than my looks. Carry yourself with respect, confidence, and kindness. As you grow older, you will realize, your physical appearance doesn’t matter.

    10) Your ego and pride is not everything

Your ego and pride aren’t worth shit. Put your ego and pride at the down. Apologize when it’s needed. Friendships and relationships are worth far more than your stupid ego and pride. Even if you hate your boss, you put that ego and pride down and you say good morning when you see him. Because if you don’t say it, what do you think you’ll get out of it? Your useless ego and pride are not worth the grumpy boss’s bad side. Not worth it.

    11) Make peace with yourself

This is the only true way to make yourself happy. Don’t look at others for validation. Disappointment will happen very often. Instead, validate yourself. The same goes for happiness. Don’t rely on anyone for happiness. Love yourself. Be confident.

    12) Life is never fair. Never.

You work as hard as someone but they get what they want and you don’t? Suck it up. Life isn’t fair, and it will never be. Work hard, and if you work hard enough, you will get to where you want to be. Eventually.

    13) Follow your heart

Live by what you believe in. Stick to your values and do not get swayed. Do you believe in second chances? Give that chance. Do you want to be vegan? Do just that. Do you want to be kind to people who least deserve it? Be kind as fuck. Don’t change who you are for someone who can’t accept you for you.

    14) View life from a different pair of lens

It’s easy to jump to conclusions or make quick assumptions. There are always two parts to the story. Always, always emphasize rather than sympathize. Put yourself in their shoes and understand why they do what they did. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture that is in front of you. More than often, we see things how we want them to be even though in most cases, it isn’t what our minds made it out to be. Emphasize, it’s a very empowering set of skills.

    15) Count your blessings

Always. Always. Always. You’ll never get everything you want in life, but that’s life. Be contented with what you have, and you will be happy. There will always be someone better, richer, more attractive. Never try to compete with this person. You’re always in competition with yourself. Strive for the best version of yourself, not the best of someone else.

    In closing…

It will take some focus and inner work but you can have the power to set yourself free. When you are able to do this, you can achieve better results in your life. It’s not always easy to let things go. It will take time and consistent effort to remove yourself from the burden. Once this happens, you will begin to grow and prosper. You deserve it. 😊

  • Why School Fails Entrepreneurs

    Why School Fails Entrepreneurs

    Why School Fails Entrepreneurs

School fails entrepreneurs. This is a strong statement, so let me start by giving you some context.

    School fails entrepreneurs

    When we go to school…

We are allowed a minimum grade in order to pass (in most school systems it’s 70%).

This means that if we get more than 30% incorrect…

    We fail.

I’m going to be honest with you…

When I was in school, I was NOT the best student.

My grades were about as good as the person sitting next to me.

I barely got through high-school when I joined the U.S. Marine Core.

When I came out of boot camp, I thought I could conquer the world…

I thought I was invincible so I went to college to become a doctor (although I SUCKED in school).

This, obviously, did not go too well.

    I failed chemistry and biology…

    BADLY. It wasn’t even close…

Figured I would try my luck at economics…

    Same result.

I thought, “I’m not really cut out for this” so I did the only thing that was left…

    Becoming an entrepreneur.

    Why school fails entrepreneurs

When I began my entrepreneurship journey…

I carried the belief and identity as a “failure” with me into business because I failed in school.

School labeled me a failure because I wasn’t great at taking their tests.

So, I’d start a business and I would look at myself and think, “Man! I’m a failure!”.

I got involved in network marketing at the age of 18…

…and I did a BUNCH of presentations but NOBODY signed up. ZERO.

I felt terrible about my results.

    Why?

Because I was taught to feel terrible.

What I’ve come to realize over the years however is the opposite.

Most successful entrepreneurs are not successful because they don’t fail.

They are successful because they DO fail…

    Are WILLING to fail.

Thank goodness I got exposed to personal development at a young age and was able to re-wire my brain to adopt this way of thinking.

A lesson I learned in high-school that I carry with me still

When I was 15 years old, I got my first job as a newspaper door-to-door salesman.

The way the business incentivized us was through competition…

Whoever sold the most newspapers would win a $ 20 gift-card.

At the time, that was a lot of money to me and I was CRAVING to win.

    There was just one problem…

    JIMMY!

This kid, Jimmy, was the best salesman.

It seemed as if no matter what I did…

    Jimmy would ALWAYS win.

Even though Jimmy would always win…

I began to notice something about him.

Jimmy was a heavy set individual and walks REALLY slow.

I thought to myself, “Even if Jimmy closes more sales than me… I bet I can move much quicker than him, therefore allowing me to talk to more customers and even out the playing field!”

So, that’s exactly what I did.

I SPRINTED to every single door.

    Can you guess what happened?

I still lost most of the time…

    …BUT sometimes I won.

    The lesson?

What you lack in skill, you make up for in numbers

    Take a look at baseball:

If you strike out 7 out of 10 times…

You’d be considered one of the best in the world.

You’re going to be a legend if you can consistently only miss 7 out of 10.

The founder of IBM said, “If you want to greatly increase your success, you need to double your rate of failure”.

    Double your rate of failure!

This is why school fails entrepreneurs.

Where did you ever learn that it’s EXTREMELY beneficial to fail?

Did they ever tell you how to become successful through your failures?

    NO!

At least, not when I was in school.

Some of you are not failing at all!

    Why?

Because you’re too scared to do shit!

If you’re not failing AT LEAST once a day…

…and if you’re in network marketing, at least a few times a day…

Then it’s going to be very difficult for you to reach the level of success you’re most likely striving to achieve.

    The reality is…

Every failure is a learning lesson

Sometimes I speak on stage or record training videos and look back and think, “Oh my goodness! I said “uh” 57 times, “You know” 30 times and “so” 20!”

Or maybe I tell a joke on stage that doesn’t hit the audience right.

This allows me to understand what DOES NOT work so I can make adjustments.

If you can fail 9 out of 10 times…

    You can become incredibly successful.

If you fail 9 out of 10 times…

You can live your dream life and impact the planet in a massive way.

If you’re worried about failure or rejection…

Understand how childish those concerns are.

You’re worried about what people think of you.

Put your ego aside and go forward toward your missing of making an impact regardless of what other people say.

When I haven’t heard anything from a hater in awhile…

That’s when I know I’m doing something wrong!

    Listen… School fails entrepreneurs because…

If you’re new in your entrepreneurial career…

Stay driven towards your missiong and your purpose of making an impact of living the life that you truly know that you deserve.

You will have people hating on you and you’ll have a lot of failures.

School fails entrepreneurs because they don’t teach you how to embrace failure… how to embrace people hating on you… and how to properly use it to fuel your success.

They don’t teach you that hate is sometimes a by-product of success.

I’m telling you right now, however, that the haters will pale in comparison to the number of people who celebrate you.

    So, in closing:

Be willing to put up with the haters and be willing to put your ego aside.

Stop worrying about looking good and what others say about you.

Go out there and serve your mission of making an impact.
