Why You’re Not Selling in Network Marketing

Why You're Not Selling in Network Marketing

What holds people back from being successful and selling in network marketing, is the fear of rejection.

Why You’re Not Selling in Network Marketing

I would say the number one thing that holds people back from being successful, especially in network marketing, is the fear of rejection, being worried about what other people are going to say about you offering a product or service, or you’re shy about coming across as a salesperson, or the biggest thing is rejection hurts.

And when someone tells you no, somehow you take it personally.

I want to just give you some insight that I think might help you.

If you’re a leader in network marketing, you should take this message and use it for whatever products or services that you’re offering in whatever network marketing company that you are involved in.

Selling in Network Marketing is Your Obligation.

    Here’s why I think it’s your obligation.

If you offer a product or service that seriously adds value to someone else, and you should not be offering a product or service that does not add value to someone else, then it’s your obligation to go hard, push hard, and follow up.

Do everything that you need to do to offer your product and service because it’s in their best interest, not yours.

I don’t know what product or service you’re offering. It could be a travel-related product, a health and nutrition product, or a skincare product. It could be personal coaching services, whatever it is.

But the reality is your prospect, whoever is out there that doesn’t know about your product, if you genuinely believe that product or service is in their best interest by owning it and by using it, then it’s in their best interest.

They don’t know it’s in their best interests because they don’t know what you know. It’s your obligation to educate them on your products and services and do whatever you can. Get as good as you possibly can.

Every day, watch one of my training videos or watch someone else’s training videos.

Educate yourself daily so you get the skills necessary to be able to close anyone who’s closable on purchasing your products or services.

    Offering a Product

I offer a product that when people use this product, it gives them more fun, freedom, and fulfillment. It creates joy in their life.

Genuinely, if I’m offering my products and my services to someone, I feel like they lose in a massive way if they don’t own it.

If they don’t use my product, they are going to miss out. It’s a disservice to them, not to me.

It’s not a disservice to me because I’m going to find someone else to offer my products or services to. So, I don’t lose out. They do.

    If They Say No…

If they say no, they lose. I don’t lose.

I’m not afraid of rejection and I’m not afraid of what people are going to say, think, or do. That’s on them.

If you’re in network marketing, you may offer a health and nutrition product where you know if they take your product, it’s going to make them healthier. Maybe it’s going to help them live a longer, more full and rich life.

I’ve been working out with my personal trainer for about four years now and my body is in way better shape. I’m much healthier. Had I not purchased his service, my life would not be as good as it is today.

If you’re a personal trainer, you owe it to the people in your life, the people who don’t even know you yet, to go hard on offering your products.

If you offer life coaching, and you can help people have more joy in their life, have more happiness, you owe it to them to go hard.

Stop being shy about offering your product because you’re afraid of rejection or afraid of what other people are going to say or think about you.

    Go Hard!

It’s in their best interest so GO HARD!

If you’re not offering a product that’s in their best interest, find another product to offer.

Find something that you can get passionate about because as I said in my book, The Unemployed Millionaire, when you follow your passion, the money will come.

The reality is if you want to have a lot of success, whatever your marketing, you have to go hard. If you don’t go hard, you will never have success.

Give up right now if you don’t intend on going hard because it’s not going to work.

Why I can push a big vision and sell the vision of my product or service or my company, is because I know, without a shadow of a doubt, with 100 percent certainty, that their life is better if they take it.

That’s the attitude that you’ve got to take.

If you can’t get that attitude with your product or services, find a different product. It’s as simple as that.

If you feel like this can add some value to some others, feel free to share this blog.

  • Becoming a Millionaire in Network Marketing

Becoming a Millionaire in Network Marketing

Becoming a Millionaire in Network Marketing

One of the biggest things stopping you from becoming a millionaire in network marketing is your mindset and the fear of rejection.

Becoming a Millionaire in Network Marketing

There are a lot of keys to becoming a millionaire in network marketing.

I’ve done well over a thousand videos and they’re all centered around success. You can go to my YouTube channel. I believe there’s over 400 videos there and about a thousand hours of content that I’ve created over the years but this is one of the bigger ones.

There’s nothing really stopping you from becoming a millionaire.

The reality is what stops you in most cases is your own mind. And typically, more than not, it’s the fear of rejection.

It’s what other people say about you and you being worried about your reputation. It’s you wanting to remain cool.

The disease that stops most people from becoming a millionaire in network marketing is called the ITC disease. The “I’m too cool disease”.

Becoming a millionaire means your dreams need to be bigger than their no.

That’s a phrase that I want you to remember. You should write this down. Put it in your phone. It is something that you will need to be reminded of many, many times, and that is that your dream,  your goal, your why needs to be bigger than their no.

It needs to be bigger than their rejection, bigger than their criticism, bigger than their judgment, and bigger than their actions against you.

Their actions against you are not what stops you.

It’s your mindset about the actions that you feel are against you.

Their no isn’t what stops you, it’s your attitude towards the no. Not their rejection, or their criticism, or their judgment. None of that stops you. It doesn’t stop you at all unless you let it be.

The Killer of Dreams in Network Marketing

That’s the killer of dreams in network marketing.

You’ve got to have a dream that is so big that when someone tells you no, when someone tells you you’re crazy, when someone says it will never work, when someone laughs at you, when someone ridicules you for being involved in network marketing or whatever other business you’re in, it’s like water off a duck’s back. And I’m saying this out of experience.

I only train or preach on things that I have personal experience with.

My first five years, I failed terribly in network marketing. I spent way more money than I made. I ended up 30,000 in debt. And the biggest reason was because I was afraid of the rejection of others.

    Stop being a Secret Agent

I was afraid of what other people would think about me, kind of like being a secret agent. I wanted to remain cool. And by trying to remain cool, I was not cool at all.

    I was a coward.

Some of you have been a secret agent in network marketing.

You’re trying to be cool and your coolness makes you a coward.

I finally was like, you know what? What’s cool to me is standing up for what I believe in.

What’s cool to me is chasing down my dreams with everything in me, to saying I’ll be damned to whoever wants to ridicule me, reject me, or judge me. That’s on them, not on me.

So, your dream has to be bigger than their no. So, how do you make your dream bigger?

    Make your dream bigger.

You got to actually have a dream and you’ve got to write it down.

It’s amazing to me how many people say they want to become a millionaire and when I say, “Do you have a list of 100 things? 100 goals? 100 dreams?” They don’t. They haven’t written down anything. If they have written something down, it’s two or three things.

    Here’s what happens.

If you don’t want much, you won’t do much. If you don’t want much, you’re not going to be willing to overcome much.

The key to winning is desire.

Here’s what I think the key to winning is. The key to winning is desire. It’s that burning desire in your gut that says, “I’m going to go over or around or through any obstacle that gets in my way.” And until you can get that attitude, you will always fail.

How do you get that attitude and that burning desire? How do you get that, “I’m going to do it no matter fucking what?”

You’ve got to have a big damn dream.

Becoming a millionaire means writing down your goals.

Write down 100 goals in your life.

People are always like, “Well, I can’t I can’t think of 100 things.” Well, you’re not very creative if you can’t think of at least 100 things.

How much money do you want to make?

What kind of car do you want to drive?

What kind of house do you want to live in?

Where do you want to go?

I can do 100 things just on places I want to go in the world.

Buy one of those books, 100 Places or 1,000 places to see before you die. There’s no shortage.

What do you want to learn?

What do you want to be?

Who do you want to grow into?

If you could be anyone in the world, who would it be? And make that a goal.

    Mindset Goals

Maybe you want to have unstoppable confidence or want to not have to worry about the opinions of others. Maybe you want to be able to get on a live video and say whatever the hell comes to mind, and not care what anyone thinks.

The reason why I can get on Facebook and do a live stream with so much fire and enthusiasm is because I don’t care what anyone thinks about me. If they think I’m ridiculous, so what. They’re not for me.

Create the list and keep it in front of you all the time. Look at it every day.

On my phone’s home screen, I’ve got images of what I want my ultimate life to look like.

I’ve got a 4,000-acre ranch with a big palatial home on that ranch, a jet, my kids. I’ve also got some themes of adventure with a person on top of a mountain and a handful of other things, but I’m looking at it every single day.

When I look at that every day, what happens?

    It increases desire.

Dreams are the fuel that fire desire.

Tony Robbins says there’s no such thing as unmotivated people. There are just people with infinite dreams. If you’re not very motivated, you probably have an impotent dream.

Get some firmness to your dream. Make it real. Start visualizing it. Imagine yourself.

If you want to be a speaker, close your eyes and visualize yourself onstage. Visualize people coming to their feet and giving you a standing ovation at the end.

Visualize that over and over and over. Make it real in your mind.

We don’t get what we want, we get what we can vividly imagine because when we can vividly imagine ourselves in a certain situation, it becomes real to us and our subconscious starts kicking in to make that dream a reality.

The Pattern of New Year’s Resolutions

Average people will set goals at the beginning of the year.

Then come February or March, they’ve forgotten about it, and they don’t look at it until the following January.

“It’s going to be your year.”

No, it’s not because you’re going to do the same damn thing that you did the last few years.

You’re going to set goals, get all excited, and come February or March, you’ve forgotten about it.

    Successful People Set Goals

More successful people will set goals every single month and look at them every month. That’s an exercise that you should go through.

Personally, I go through a net worth statement every single month. I’m looking at exactly where I’m at. Am I making progress? Am I making enough progress to get to where I ultimately want to be?

I’m looking at my business, my brand, and at other leaders in my organization. Am I helping them advance?

Even more successful people set weekly goals. So, every single week, you have something that you’re moving toward, and even more successful people set goals every single day, and every single day, you’re looking at your goal.

I believe the power behind the goal is not just the goal itself. The question you always have to ask is “Why is this goal a must? Why must I have this goal?”

    Let me ask your question.

Do you think you’re more likely to achieve your goal if you have a reason that the goal is a must, not a want?

Figure out why your goal is a must. Do the work. Don’t just read my blogs or watch my videos. Do the work and I promise you, if you’re willing to do the work, you’ll get the results.

Become a millionaire in network marketing. Become a powerful, unstoppable leader!

I never promise that it happens overnight, but my goal for you is for you to become a powerful, unstoppable leader with confidence, certainty, and conviction. Where you know that you will absolutely impact the world and will absolutely achieve your goals.

Live a life of freedom. Not just financial freedom but emotional freedom. Be excited about who you are as a person.

I want you looking in the mirror, and see the person looking back, and I want you to love that person. Be proud of that person.

If you want those things, you have to be willing to do the work. Do the work, my friends.

If you want some more training, hop over to LeadwithMatt.com and put in your name and email address. You’ll get some advanced leadership tactics on not just becoming a leader, but being able to recruit and attract powerful leaders.

As you know, everything rises and falls based on leadership and that’s where all the duplication comes from. It’s where real time and money freedom come from. That ‘walk-away’ income where you can turn off your phone if you wanted to and your income doesn’t skip a beat. That’s what I want for you.

If you feel like this can add some value to some others, hit the share button.

God bless. Make it an awesome day.

  • How to Motivate Your Team in Network Marketing

How to Motivate Your Team in Network Marketing

You don't motivate your team. You inspire them through your own personal production.

In network marketing, you motivate your team by inspiring them through your own personal production.

How to Motivate Your Team in Network Marketing

How do you motivate your team?

There’s a lot of different things that you can do, but in general, I’ll give you the answer right up front.

You don’t motivate your team. You inspire them through your own personal production.

This is often not the answer that people want to hear because most people want to go out and believe some of the hype that you’ve heard from network marketers who say, “All you’ve got to do is put in two people and then they put in two, and they put in two”, or “you put in five, and they put in five, and they put in five”… And we get hooked on that.

In fact, that was exactly what happened to me when I joined network marketing.

    When I joined network marketing…

I went through about three meetings before I actually signed up and my sponsor met me after the meeting and knew exactly what to say to me.

He said, “Matt, you only have to get six. It’s easy. You can do it.” And I was like, “I only have to get six?” So, I joined.

    Unfortunately, that was a lie.

There has never been a leader in the history of network marketing that I have ever heard of who’s enrolled six people and got to a six-figure income.

You have to do a lot more than that but what happens is we think that we only have to get six or five or two or whatever it is and that we’re going to have this duplication factory.

Duplication is real in network marketing.

I think there’s a lot more duplication of leadership in network marketing than the duplication that most people think about.

    [EXPOSED] The Duplication Myth

    Motivate your team.

The mistake is you go out and enroll five people and then you want to go motivate those five to go take action but how do you do that?

The way that you motivate your team is not through putting up interesting quotes. It’s not through doing training calls every day. Now, is it good to do training calls? Absolutely.

I’m not discounting doing training calls, training Zooms, or “wake-up” motivational calls. There’s nothing wrong with doing those things. Those things are good, but if you’re expecting your team to duplicate because you’re just motivating them, that’s not what happens.

As you grow in leadership and you’ve got an organization of thousands of people, it changes a little bit because your team knows you’ve gone out and done the work.

    Personal production.

A role in network marketing is you stay in personal production until you’re at the income level you want to retire at. It’s why I’m still enrolling people.

We do promotions from time to time where you can qualify for certain things and I qualify just about every time. You have to put in two or four sales in a month and I pretty much always qualify for those because I’m always putting people in. But the way that you really motivate your team is not the motivation like we think it is.

It’s not hyping them up with motivational quotes and all that. Some of that’s all really good stuff, but you inspire them through your personal productivity. They see that it’s possible.

Momentum is created through one word. If you want to have momentum in your organization, it’s going to happen because of belief.

If you have a lot of people who have a lot of belief, you have a lot of people taking a lot of action.

How do you give them the belief? Do you tell them, “This is awesome? It works. Go, go, go.”

If they haven’t seen you do it, if they haven’t seen your personal production, they don’t believe it’s true, no matter how much you hype it up. No matter how excited you are. No matter how many motivational quotes and no matter how many training calls you do, they don’t believe so they don’t take action.

    Get serious!

Group momentum comes after personal momentum. You don’t get group momentum until you have personal momentum.

    So, what’s the number?

Enough. You have to do enough.

    What’s the starting point? Thirty.

If you haven’t personally sponsored 30 people in your organization, you’re not really serious.

You can never expect to have a hugely motivated team if you haven’t done at least 30 personals. And some of you haven’t done 30 and you’re like, “No, Matt. I am serious.” Well, you don’t have the results to show it yet.

Your heart may say you’re serious. Your mind may say you’re serious but you’re not a pro. Your group’s not going to be super excited if you haven’t done at least 30. How fast do you have to do the 30? There’s not a number but the faster, the better.

    The Law of Compressed Activity

The first time I ever built a huge team in network marketing, I did 30 in one month.

I’ve never done 30 in one month ever since so you don’t have to do 30, but the faster you put them in, the better it works.

There’s a thing called “the law of compressed activity” and the law of compressed activity says, this is an irrefutable law, the effort that you put in a short compressed amount of time is going to pay you way more money than the same amount of effort put in over an extended period of time.

Why is that true? Why is that an irrefutable law in our profession?

It’s because everything’s based on belief, based on that inspiration. So, if people are inspired and they believe that they can go put in a bunch of sales, they go do it.

What gives them the belief? Seeing someone perform at a level above themselves.

Motivate your team by ranking in your company.

I’ve hit the top rank in my company three times and I’ve had plenty of money doing it twice.

My lifestyle is not changing dramatically because I hit it a third time. Yes, it’s more money and it’s awesome, but the biggest motivation for me to do that was I wanted to go to such a high level that people would say, “Man, if he’s done it three times, surely I can do it once.”

So, if you haven’t hit a rank in your company, your group is probably thinking, “I can’t do it” because you haven’t done it.

Aside from you just making more money, aside from you getting the recognition, realize that your team needs to see you hit rank.

You may be a leader and you may be stuck at the rank that you’re at.

You may have a very comfortable life. So, don’t do it for you. Do it for your team.

Spend less time in a support role.

Do less support of your group for a period of time, get into personal production mode, and watch your team increase.

I’ve done it so many times.

It sounds crazy to spend less time in a support role and more time in personal production mode, but when you pull back from the support a little bit, go into personal production mode, and your team is seeing you do this… Why does your organization grow?

Your organization grows because you gave them what they needed the most and what they needed the most was the inspiration and the belief that they could go do it themselves. And without you doing it, they don’t get that.

If you feel like this can add some value to some others, hit that share button.

If you want some additional training on leadership, not only becoming a leader, but being able to attract powerful leaders, hop over to LeadwithMatt.com, and you’ll get a special training that I put together there for you to show you how to experience real time and money freedom in network marketing.

  • A Great Network Marketer Can Appreciate These 2 Letters

A Great Network Marketer Can Appreciate These 2 Letters

The 2 Letters Great Network Marketers Can Appreciate

As a network marketer, you’ve got to learn to appreciate the noes.

The 2 Letters A Great Network Marketer Can Appreciate

What are the two letters that hold you back from greatness as a network marketer?

I could probably say there’s a lot of different words that hold you back as a network marketer but I think this is the one word that more than anything else holds people back.

You can also say it’s a four letter word and that four letter word would be fear. It’s fear of someone saying the two letter word which is “no” or sometimes it’s, “You’re crazy. I can’t believe you’re doing this. You’re never gonna make it. Those things don’t work.” Whatever it is.

If you can get over those two words, there’s no limit to the amount of success that you can have.

My Biggest Success as a Network Marketer

My biggest key to success, especially in the company that I’m in, is the fact that I’ve gotten a lot of noes.

I would say I’ve gotten about a thousand personal rejections.

I’ve sponsored a little over 300 people in the last 10 years. And I probably enroll one out of every three people that I give a presentation to so maybe it’s a little less than that.

    That’s led to a lot.

I wouldn’t be living the life I have right now if I never got over those two words.

Last year I traveled to 27 different countries. I’ve traveled to over 80 countries total and have seen six out of the Seven Wonders of the world.

    Get Over the “NO.”

You’re not going to care about all the noes people have told you when you’re traveling around the world.

When you’re buying your own dream lake house, you’re not going to care about that noes.

The noes will lead you to millions of dollars if you’re willing to go get enough noes.

It’s absolutely impossible to get all yeses. So, at most, you might get two, three, or four yeses in a row, but you’re also going to have to get noes.

You have to get noes to get the yeses. We earn a commission when the yes happens. So, follow my logic here.

    Celebrate the no.

If you have to get the no in order to get the yes, then we get paid for the noes, too. You can’t get paid if you’re not willing to go through enough noes to get the yeses.

Set a goal for getting two noes a day.

That would be an amazing goal.

Go get two noes every single day from someone who has seen your presentation. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t end up making a ton of money and isn’t living an amazing lifestyle. But you got to be willing to go get the no. And not just willing to get the no. Get excited about the no. Celebrate the no. Make it a goal of getting those.

    Endless opportunities.

Because again, when you’re on the beaches of the world, you don’t care about the no.

When you’re climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with your buddies, you don’t care about the no.

As you’re taking your kids on exotic vacations on a regular basis, you don’t care about the no.

When you can afford to pay for private school for your kids, you don’t care about the no.

You don’t care about the no when you’re set for life financially,

You’re glad and grateful for the no.

Don’t feel bad or get upset when you get a no. If everyone said yes, there would be no opportunity.

Stop wishing it were easier and start wishing you were better. Work towards getting better because again, companies would have no incentive to pay us a fortune for going out and building a big team if everyone said yes.

Be grateful that there’s a challenge because that’s where all the opportunity lies.

If you are looking for some advanced training, feel free to hop over to LeadwithMatt.com. And if you’d like to learn about the 3 magic words for building rapport and getting people to like you, check out my blog post here.
